I struggled for a little bit there with motivation. Rel's story wasn't completely put on the back burner, but I kept feeling frustrated and struggled to find the energy and headspace to continue writing. Teaching, lesson planning, health problems, and family health problems took precedence for the last couple of months--resulting in a chapter here and chapter there with now real concrete progress.

I attending my first event as an author today. I promoted Shifting Destiny at The Underground Book Fair. I'm so glad my family encouraged me to do so! I walked away feeling reinvigorated. I met many indie authors and some local booksellers and bookstore owners. It's a remarkable thing to be surrounded by people who are going through the same journey as you. 

I'll be selling and signing books at the upcoming book far at Pages & Perks in a few weeks, and I cannot wait.

I hope this new momentum keeps up and Shifting Loyalties finds its way to print within a few months!
